Tennis and Primo's Donuts

Two of today's brightest (and most attractive) tennis stars, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal wouldn't normally be found as the opening photo in a food blog post, but today is a special day! The annual US Open is here, and for my tennis and food fanatic family, this means a very special breakfast. For Wimbledon it's scones and tea, French Open we have croissants and cafe au lait, but this morning, the tennis games being in New York, we dig into some coffee and donuts. Usually we save the breakfast for the championship day, but unfortunately I will be in Oregon moving in for school and won't be here to watch. So instead we moved the breakfast up, in order for all of us to be able to enjoy this sweet and delicious morning.

For Donuts in our area, it's always Primo's. The Los Angeles staple has been serving up some of the freshest, tastiest donuts for over half a century. Classic buttermilk, fluffy cinnamon crumb, and sweet maple bars are just a few of their donuts we love. With family visiting from Japan, we had all the more reason to stop by and grab a box full of these yummy American treats.
